FITNESS WITH A MEDICAL APPROACH is intended for people who wish to improve their overall physical fitness under expert supervision and include regular exercise in their life style.

It is suited for individuals who have little or no daily physical activity, who spend most of their working day behind a desk or a computer, as well as those doing recreational sports, regularly or occasionally (football, basketball, tennis, golf, skiing, etc.) and are therefore exposed to a risk of minor or graver injuries.

The programmes are founded on therapeutic methods that are determined according to the person’s health and are conducted through either individual or group trainings (up to 3 persons per group).

 The programme is implemented through two types of trainings – basic fitness and functional training.

  • Basic fitness is a moderate intensity training the goal of which is to build or strengthen basic muscles, as well as to increase strength and mobility.

A special emphasis is placed on back and abdomen muscles, because they are affected the most by inactivity and sitting in a chair for a long time. They are also important for preventing injury when later performing more complex exercises.

During the training, cardio devices are used for warm-up and improving general fitness, while tracking your pulse in order to determine the ideal intensity of training.

There are also exercises that focus on strengthening larger muscle groups, which will awaken and strengthen the body, using a variety of fitness props depending on what we are trying to achieve.

At the end of the training, stretching exercises are carried out in order to relax all muscle groups, and regenerate the body after a physical workout in order to avoid injuries, spasms, and contribute to proper building of beautiful muscles.

The training intensity is adapted to the individual abilities and needs.

  • Functional training is a more advanced training based on functional movements that we usually do every day, which at the same time increase strength and fitness through a variety of challenging exercises in all aspects of movement, with obvious effects on physical appearance.

It is based on exercises that simultaneously involve multiple parts of the body and thus activate more muscle groups during each individual exercise. During each exercise, the lower part of the abdomen is strengthened, stabilising the spine and strengthening the lower back.

During the training, various fitness props are used (balls, elastic bands, medical balls, ropes …), a wide range of floor exercises, as well as exercises on a special multifunctional device.

Functional training exercises make it easier for your body to perform normal daily activities. They help you perform your duties more efficiently and safely, while at the same time improving your quality of life. The aim of the training is to build a body that meets the highest requirements in respect of your fitness, strength, flexibility, balance, speed and endurance, which results in better overall health and a sense of satisfaction. We achieve a high level of motivation using different exercises each time and always finding new ways to use the props.

Training intensity is adjusted to personal capabilities and needs of every individual.

 

DURATION AND GROUPS:

Training lasts up to 60 min and can be conducted:
– Individually (1-on-1) or
– In smaller groups with a trainer/therapist (up to 3 persons in a group, where each person get exercises adjusted to their individual goals, physical fitness and health)

 

 EQUIPMENT:

All trainings are conducted on several workstations: on cardio devices of the renowned world brand LIFE FITNESS (treadmill, Nordic skiing equipment, ergocycle – bicycle with a back rest), matte, stepper, Swedish ladders, using weights, elastic tape or Pilates balls. Special feature is exercising on the latest fitness trainer POWERTEC Multifunctional Deluxe, which provides unlimited exercise possibilities both by type of muscle and by resistance. It is an unmatched device for health and recreational fitness. There is a possibility of additional stretching on an inversion table.
